Getting started
After installation, SmolScreen runs quietly in your menu bar. Take a screenshot with ⌘⇧3 or ⌘⇧4 — SmolScreen will detect it automatically and open the editor.
Screen recording permission
SmolScreen needs Screen Recording permission to detect new screenshots. Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen Recording and enable SmolScreen.
Keyboard shortcuts
All keyboard shortcuts are fully customizable. Open the menu bar icon and go to Preferences to assign your own shortcuts for capture, save, clipboard, and every editing tool.
Pro upgrade
The Pro upgrade is a one-time purchase — no subscription, no renewal. Once purchased, your lifetime license covers all current and future Pro features.
Troubleshooting
If the editor doesn't open automatically, make sure Screen Recording permission is granted in System Settings and that SmolScreen is running (look for its icon in the menu bar).
